In an attempt to raise awareness about the ability to turn wastewater into safe drinking water, a brewery in Stockholm, Sweden has started a new beer brand made with recycled sewage water(污水).

Called PU: REST, the new beer developed by Stockholm's New Carnegie Brewery together with the Swedish Environmental Research Institute( IVL) and Carlsberg is supposed to convince people that "second hand water" can be as clean as normal tap water. IVL says that the challenge to get people to drink recycled water is not a technological one, but a psychological one, so what better way to convince consumers of the purity of treated wastewater than using it to create a beer?

PU: REST was just born in Sweden on May 25th this year, and it's already being called"crap beer"on social media, but its creators remain hopeful that it will help change the general opinion

  about recycled wastewater.

The difficulties in getting this relatively cost- and energy-efficient method to be used for the production of drinking water is not technical but primarily emotional, "said Staffan PsSon, project

manager at IVL."The recycled water is as pure and safe as normal tap water, but most people are still skeptical about actual drinking purified wastewater".

Chris Thurgeson, brewmaster at New Carnegie Brewery, described PU: REST as a"crystal clear pilsner",adding that his company took this challenge because it believes"thal both producers

and consumers must dare to think differently if we are to successfully take care of Earth's resources".

PU: REST reportedly has "a very clean and crisp taste", but judging by the comments left on the New Carnegie Brewery Facebook page, consumers arent that excited about it.

You can now try PU: REST at New Carnegie Brewery's restaurant in Stockholm, or wait until it goes on sale across Sweden next month.

28 What's the purpose of developing PU: REST?

  A. To make the best of wastewater

  B. To reduce the waste of drinking water

  C. To prove recycled wastewater is drinkable

  D. To appeal to the public to recycle wastewater.

  29. Why is it hard for people to drink recycled water?

  A. Recycling water is no easy job

  B. They doubt its purity and safety

  C. Recycling water costs much money

  D. They wouldn't like to change their living habits

  30. What can consumers' attitude toward PU: REST be best described as?

  A. Cautious

  B. Curious

  C. Opposing.

  D. Supportive

  31. According to the text, PU: REST is__________.

  A. not a new product at all

  B. made in a Swedish Institute

  C. intended for special consumers

  D. unavailable on the market yet

Contrary to popular belief, when a person makes a mistake while learning, it improves their memory for the right information, but only if the error is close to the correct answer, according to

  recent findings by Baycrest researchers.

Our research found evidence that mistakes that are a' near miss' can help a person learn the in formation better than if no errors were made at all, says Dr. Nicole Anderson, senior scientist at

Bavcrest's Rotman Research Institute. " These types of errors can serve as stepping stones to remembering the right answer. But if the error made is a wild guess, then a person doesn’t learn

  the correct information as easily.

In their study, researchers asked 32 young adults with no Spanish background to guess the English definition of certain Spanish words,, The Spanish words selected either resembled an

English word with a similar meaning or the word looked like an English word. but meant something different.

Participants were shown the Spanish words and asked to guess their meanings. Then, they were briefly shown the correct translation, before being shown another Spanish word. After

repeating this process with 16 Spanish words, participants had a short break before their memory for the translations was tested. Researchers found that people were better able to think of the

correct translations for Spanish words that were similar to the English words. They had greater difficulty recalling the meaning for words that looked misleading.

''Based on these findings, someone studying for an exam should only take practice quizzes after reviewing the material, "says Dr. Anderson. "If a person takes a practice test and is

unfamiliar with the content, they risk making guesses that are nowhere near the right answer.

This could make it harder for them to learn the correct information later".#p#副标题#e#

We all like to receive praise, especially when we have accomplished a task or completed something that was new for us; children feel the same way about receiving praise. 36 . It's important for parents to praise children, so that they are able to repeat the task or activity.

37 . They try to find the pattern in order to receive the praise again. This is why praising is very important to a developing child. Our role as the parent is to make sure we are praising in a way that allows the child to repeat the task or activity that received the praise in the first place. 38 .

Unlabeled praise is when we say"good job”. As the brain is making a pattern, the praise of good job is not "attached" to anything, so the brain is unable to repeat the pattern." 39 , this means that the person approves of what was accomplished. For children, we want them to be sell-approving instead of others-approving. We want our children to be satisfied with what they are accomplishing and not seeking the approval of others. This is where labeled praise becomes invaluable.

For the brain to make a patterned memory the parent should always label and identify what the child has accomplished. 40 ,the brain is making a memory in order to repeat the same behavior that received the praise. Using labeled praise such as, "You put the dishes away without being asked. Wow, you are amazing", gives the brain a memory or pattern of behavior that will receive praise again.

  A. When this kind of statement is made

  B. Our brains are a pattern-seeking muscle

  C. When someone makes the statement "good job"

  D. Praise helps build self-confidence in children of all ages from
