make和let这两个英语单词都有“让;使”含义，但是在使用的过程中，它们还是存在一些区别的，这些的区别主要表现在以下两个方面。

　　一、句式结构

　　make 和 let 都有“让;使”的意思，表达“让某人做某事”这个结构：make/let sb. do sth.，即加不带to的不定式(也就是动词原形)。但make sb. do sth. 的被动形式需要加to：sb. be made to do sth.

　　例如：

　　The actor makes everyone laugh.

　　Everyone is made to laugh (by the actor).

　　而let没有这种用法。

　　二、内涵

　　Let sb. do sth.: to give someone permission to do something, or allow someone to do something.

　　涵义：允许某人做某事。意思是这件事是你想去做的。

　　make sb. do sth.: to oblige someone to do something; they have no choice and they have to do it.

　　涵义：责令/迫使某人做某事。意思是这件事你本来不想去做，但没办法不得不去做。

　　That is:

　　Someone lets you do something = You want to do it.

　　Someone makes you do something.= You don’t want to do it but you have no choice. You have to do it.

　　Examples:

　　My mother lets me have 90 minutes for watching TV.

　　我妈妈允许我看90分钟的电视。

　　My mother lets me play the computer games.

　　我妈妈允许我玩电脑游戏。

　　My mother lets me get up late on Saturday.

　　我妈妈允许我周六晚起床。(中国好妈妈~)

　　My boss makes me work at the weekend.

　　我的老板让我周末工作。

　　My boss makes me clean his office.

　　我的老板让我打扫他的办公室。

　　My boss makes me wait for him to finish work.

　　我的老板让我等他直到完成工作。(万恶的boss~)
